metric bearings
To complement our broad range of stainless steel (440C) precision miniature & instrument ball bearings in standard inch sizes, we offer a select series of metric ball bearings, also manufactured at our Troy, NY production facility. A variety of special features, including flanges, modified dimensions, and duplex designs are offered in all types of metric ball bearings.
Optional retainer and ball materials, shield and seal designs, and coatings are available to meet the specific requirements of your metric ball bearing application. Please visit our fully searchable, online catalog to see our full selection of metric ball bearings.
When factors such as cost, availability, corrosion resistance, tighter tolerances, torque, seal/shield options, and temperature resistance are important in your application, it pays to consider BB series four-point contact metric bearings as an alternative to cross-roller bearings. The additional design flexibility they offer can often help you achieve your design objectives with optimum performance and economy. BB series metric bearings are available to match the bores and widths of common cross-roller bearings and, unlike standard crossed roller bearings, BB series ball bearings include a protective package.
Koyo Ball Bearings
Deep groove ball bearings are available in a variety of sizes, and are the most popular of all rolling bearings. This type of bearing supports radial load and a certain degree of axial load in both directions simultaneously.
Shielded / Sealed Type Ball Bearings: (2RS or ZZ)
Simplifies sealing structure of applications. Greasing is not necessary because bearings are pre-lubricated.
Ball Bearings with locating snap ring: (NR)
Bearings with a locating snap ring can be fit to the housing easily, as the locating snap ring facilitates axial positioning.
Extra-small ball bearings and miniature ball bearings:
The open type is widely used. Also available are the shielded / sealed type and the flanged type; the latter is easily positioned in the axial direction.
Maximum type ball bearings:
These bearings are single-row deep groove ball bearings with a filling slot on both the inner and outer rings. They feature an enhanced radial load rating as they can contain more balls of larger diameter.
Not suitable for applications that involve axial loading or high-speed rotation.
When the bearing is installed, the filling slot on the fixed bearing ring should be in a no-load area.
Automotive Hub Unit Bearings
No need for pre-load adjustment at assembly.
Compact and lightweight.
Minimizes axial space requirements.
No need for lubrication replenishment.
Automotive Wheel Bearings (DAC and DU Types)
No need for pre-load adjustment at assembly.
Increased Load Rating.
Superior Sealing.
Double Row Ball Bearings
Accomodates Larger load Applications.
Available in single and double Seals.
